Over the month of October, ACT Labor will be holding its first ever members’ ballot for the Party Presidents. This will be the largest election ever held by ACT Labor with nearly 1,000 members eligible to vote.
The Credentials Committee has completed membership credentialing to determine the eligibility of members to vote in the ballot. A letter has been posted to every member informing them of their eligibility to vote in this ballot.
There are four candidates who have been nominated for President of the ACT Labor Party:
1. Louise Crossman
2. John Kilcullen
3. Tom McMahon
4. Jen Newman
You can get to know the candidates by attending the upcoming Candidates forum chaired by Senator Lundy. The forum will be held on the evening of Wednesday 15 October at the Griffin Centre.

There will be two opportunities to cast your vote in person:
1. Saturday 18 October at the Belconnen Labor Club (Fred Daly Room): 11:00am – 1.30pm
2. Saturday 25 October at the Southern Cross Club (Corinna Room), Woden: 12:30pm – 3:00pm
Please ensure you bring your membership card and photographic identification with you on the day.
If you are unable to attend one of the above voting times, you may request a postal vote by emailing the General Returning Officer GRO@act.alp.org.au.
Postal vote requests must be received by 5pm, Friday 17 October and completed ballot papers must be received by Party Office by 5pm, Friday 24 October.
