ACT Labor encourages rank and file members to participate in the National Policy Forum workshops on 18 and 25 October.
In the spirit of engagement, the workshops will coincide with the ballot for the ACT President.
Participants will have the chance to work in small groups to:
- discuss the values you believe should define Labor today, and
- think about the priorities for a returned Labor government.
The workshops aim to get people talking in small groups about the future of Labor, so make sure you bring your ideas and enthusiasm. Shadow Ministers will also attend the workshops and be on hand to answer your questions and hear your ideas.
A panel of Members of the ACT Assembly and federal parliamentarians will wrap up the workshops. The panel will provide an opportunity for rank and file members to ask questions and share some of the stories and ideas that came out during the group work.
Ideas shared on the day will be fed into the National Policy Forum’s current review of the ALP National Platform.
The NPF will update the platform, which will be debated at the 2015 National Conference.
Members will also have the opportunity to give feedback on the draft of the updated platform early in 2015.
If you are unable to attend the workshops, online contributions are welcome:
