Jennifer is a senior litigation lawyer with Blumers Personal Injury Lawyers. She obtained her Masters in Laws with Merit from the ANU in 2013 and has a particular interest in social justice and human rights. Day to day Jennifer works with injured people to protect their rights, get them back to work and get the treatment they need to move on with life.
Jennifer serves on the Board of the Domestic Violence Crisis Centre providing legal and governance expertise to this crucial service.
In her spare time Jennifer volunteers weekly for Barnardos as a kids friend working with a young Kambah family. She also volunteers with SIDS & KIDS, Menslink and at the National Folk Festival. Jennifer's family have always been firm supporters of the local community and Jennifer carries on this family tradition.
Woden, Weston Creek, Kambah & Molonglo each face unique challenges and the new electorate of Murrumbidgee will require advocacy and representation across the needs of each area. The focus in Woden, Weston Creek and Kambah must be on renewing our beautiful old suburbs to bring them in to line with newer areas of Canberra. Molonglo must be properly supported as it develops, responding to the emerging needs of residents, road users and workers in the area.
Jennifer is a new first home owner who has first hand experienced the trials and frustrations of breaking into the Canberra housing market. She is passionate about making housing more affordable without disadvantaging those who have invested their savings in property.
Jennifer is an enthusiastic social netball player and knows the value of social sport to women and men of all ages for fitness, health and general well being.
