Every kid in Canberra deserves a great education.

And a big part of that is being able to fully participate in school life. That means being able to go on camp, wear a new uniform, try a new sport, or learn an instrument.

But we know it can be hard sometimes to get money together for these things.

And that’s where the Education Equity Fund comes in.

It’s about making sure that no child misses out on a school activity - because equal access to education is about more than just what happens inside the classroom.

Canberra families with a health care or concession card will be able to apply for:

• $400 for preschool children
• $500 for primary school children
• $750 for high school and college students.
