Labor built Canberra’s Walk-in Centres and we’ll always back them.

Our nurse-led Walk-in Centres provide free healthcare to tens of thousands of Canberrans every year. 

With more than 134,000 presentations in 2024-25 we know our Advanced Practice Nurses and Nurse Practitioners deliver a valued service for our entire community.

We have a plan to make our Walk-in Centres even better by delivering more free services – including a new medical imaging service in Belconnen.

While Labor wants to invest more in our Walk-in Centres, the Canberra Liberals continue to question their value.

There is no question about it. Our Walk-in Centres are a vital part of our health system.
